About me? Grew up in Fish Hoek in South Africa and moved to UK in 1978. Early career was in Accounting (BBC Tv) & Treasury FX & Interest Rate Dealing in City (Enterprise Oil plc and Courtaulds plc), then worked on luxury yachts (24ft-282ft sailing and motoryachts), in hospitality and travel & tourism. The last 21 years I have specialised in recruitment globally successfully launching a ski jobs site in 2000, football and rugby jobboards in 2005/6, and more recently super yacht and HNWI recruitment consultancy and headhunting senior and executive roles in elite and professional sport worldwide!
In 2014 I started recruiting high end chefs for superyachts and then also providing villas, private estates and restaurants with key staff through a placement service.

Left Thomson Ski & Lakes to launch the first CV database driven ski jobs website on the internet in March 2000. Ski jobs site was live 1 month later. Now FindASkiJob.com & Seasonal-Jobs.com
Spent 2004 in Recruitment in hospitality recruiting for fine dining restaurants and 5 star hotels roles from GM to Restaurant Manager but returned to running my own business in 2005.
In 2005/6 conceived and then launched the very first football jobs website on the internet and launched it officially in April 2005. Negotiated numerous Recruitment Partnerships with governing bodies in sport eg Recruitment Partner to The League Managers Association in England, The CBV in Holland and promoted jobs and careers in the sport globally.Then did the same and conceived and launched site for rugby union and rugby league jobs in 2006 which was Recruitment Partner to The IRB and worked with governing bodies, professional and amateur clubs and rugby related businesses to promote global opportunities in the game.
In 2012 launched a global sports jobs / sport recruitment jobs network powered by one central database. Developed it to over 100,000 Executive, middle management and junior level candidates and social media network covering all sports.
Working as a Recruitment Consultant setting up a new Hospitality recruitment desk and developing new business with fine dining restaurants and 4 and 5 star hotels in London and across UK. eg Fifteen, Mintleaf, Mandarin Oriental, The Don, Firmdale, Savoy, Leander Club, Club Gascon, Mortons, The Wolseley, Groucho Club, Frontline Club, Greens, Ubon, Hanbury Manor....
This was a varied position involving a lot of travelling abroad all year round. Whilst with the company I designed and implemented a new recruitment policy, a new accounting system for recording our chalet, hotel and bar costs and installed new tills and financial reporting for 54 chalets, 4 hotels and 4 bars across 6 countries in Europe, the USA and Canada. I also designed and delivered training courses for managers and staff and recruited 120 staff for the winter and 20 staff for the summer seasons. I also improved the quality of the product they offered their guests by employing more qualified staff in our units and ensuring they were properly trained and supported during the season. My role also dealt with all logistics involved in setting up the chalets, hotels and bars, the setting and reporting of budgetary targets for all units and staff in the summer and winter programmes and liasing with local suppliers. I also managed all transport, uniform and stationery requirements.
